Days Inn Encinitas Near The Beach

I chose this hotel because we wanted to try to stay in a hotel that was close to the beach for a low price. This is definitely that. It is close to the cute main street of Encinitas and had good restaurants. I wanted a heated pool and it did have that, but no jacuzzi. Also there was no cable television, but overall, a good stay. We were only there overnight - would not book for a longer stay.

If you need a clean bed and bathroom, this hotel is fine.

This is my 2nd time staying in this hotel, and I plan on staying here every time I visit Encinitas, which is monthly during the beach season. It's a cheap hotel, but the staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and affordable, and within walking distance to the beach and Encinitas Blvd. Great bonus is the Denny's in the shared parking lot and they're open 24 hours. There's also a Wendy's, Subway and coffee shack across the street. When I go to the beach, I don't spend enough time in the room to care how fancy it is. It's clean, the beds are comfy, and it has a fridge for any leftovers (great Italian restaurants on Encinitas Blvd. too). I drive a truck, and there's plenty of big spaces for parking, although not all the big spaces are right by the rooms. ...read more

If anyone thinks of staying in the room all day long. I recommend something a little more up scale. But if your gonna be in and, out most of your day, than this is where you might want to stay.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean.

Nice people and a nice motel.

Front desk staff was rude, very slow in handling customer traffic, and not helpful. Wireless internet connection was spotty it took me an hour with technical support by phone to get online. One front desk employee seemed concerned about my inability to get wifi access while the other had no concern or sense of urgency regarding rectifying the situation. ...read more
